THIS YEAR's IDEAS

DAY OF THE DEAD CARD HOLDER

Day of The Dead Alter

This is a fun idea I had the pleasure of making..The alter part is made out of a cut book so it open up to writings on the inside..All is made of wood-clay-and Paint.. The tiny guys I did not make..it is just there home.

CORK BOARD

Cork Board

A pretty common idea and craft that I just LOVE.. In fact..I am saving up to make a bigger board next time..It is a bit hard though, because I don't drink...so hint -hint: All of you wine drinkers save up your corks for me..

    FINGER PAINTED WINDOW TREATMENT

Window

This is my front window..I am a fan of privacy. These blocked windows give me an excuse to finger paint. When you are sick of them..Them easily wash of with with elbow grease and some "green" window solution. It is warm to the eyes with the sun peeking through and also looks great against the dark wood of my 1920s house.

    VIOLIN tuner MOBILE

    Key Mobile

My Michael fixes violins, cellos, and upright bass. We have tons of cool tuners, bridges, etc. to mess around with. So I make this mobile. It is tied to a tree branch..Very rustic and sorta spooky. It reminds me of The Blair Witch Project..just minus the teeth.

    I LOVE MONSTERS!!!!!

    Monsters

I am MAD about making these..I never make a template..I just cut, sew, create as I go ! I will be making more and more of these in the future..In fact I have a monster making party with friends this Thursday..

I use felt, vintage fabric, and vintage buttons to give them a weathered, eclectic look. Now I just have to name them!
